In Europe, beef is a pure commodity. Meat for human consumption is produced in large quantities, and in the process nothing is left to waste. IQI closely works together with certified French and Italian slaughterhouses to obtain the best beef products. From it, IQI extracts premium ingredients and special products, such as high-quality fat and low ash premium meal.
Beef bones are processed further into beef bone chips. These beef bone chips are supplied to gelatin manufacturers for the extraction of collagen/gelatin from the bones. At the human grade beef bone processing plant a soluble protein is derived as a by-product. This protein product is partially defatted and then spray dried into powder. The resulting powder, called dried beef FP65, is high in protein (> 65%) and produces a gel after heating, making it a clean label, pure beef binder for dry pet food and treats.
