Chicken meat hydrolyzate

Chicken is the most common animal protein source in pet food for a number of good reasons. First of all, it is abundantly available globally and a relatively trouble-free animal species in terms of export health certifications and religious sensitivity. Animal welfare initiatives with regard to chicken, such as slow-growing breeds and increased outdoor access, are adopted globally. Chicken’s carbon footprint is relatively small while by-products, such as chicken meal, chicken MDM, and chicken plasma, have an excellent nutritional profile or functional properties.

IQI chicken meat hydrolzate consists solely of soluble and hydrolyzed proteins. With a protein content of more than 90%, the ingredient serves as a powerful protein source for all sorts of pet food applications. About 50% of the protein in chicken meat hydrolyzate consists of collagen (type I). It also contains 8% of the important functional component chondroitin. Chicken meat hydrolyzate is notably safe and clean: It is produced at a human-grade facility in Europe and meets the requirements of hypo allergenic diets as all molecules in the product are smaller than 10kDalton. The final product is spray dried and agglomerated for easier handling, packing, and distribution.
