Known as a rich source of dietary fiber and micronutrients, and given their numerous health benefits, oats are used in a wide array of feed and pet foods – both as a nutritional and a functional ingredient. A Swedish discovery showed that specially processed cereals (SPC Oat Care) stimulate the natural production of Protein Antisecretory Factor (Protein-AF), an endigenous protein that helps regulating the transport of liquid and ions across cell membranes.
