The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing quality assurance processes within the warehouse environment. This includes monitoring all stages of the supply chain, from receiving and storage to picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality standards. The QA Manager will play a key role in identifying areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions, and fostering a culture of quality within the warehouse team.
Reporting:
The QA Manager reports to the Global Quality Manager and is a member of the Global Quality Team.
Main Responsibilities:
Maintain and improve the IQI Quality Manual
Lead the local management and development of the IQI Quality program (GMP+ and HACCP)
Lead annual quality audits and government interactions (GMP+, MSC/ASC, regulatory, etc.)
Directly interact with both customer and supplier teams in regard to quality issues, audits and corrective action plans.
Train and develop local staff on quality and awareness.
Collaborate with all other IQI areas (Operations, Logistics, Procurement, Sales, etc.) to drive seamless operations and address quality related issues.
Train suppliers and third party warehouses to prepare for audits enabling quicker approvals for IQI customers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Quality Management) preferred.
Proven experience (3+ years) in a Quality Assurance role within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
Knowledge of quality management principles and methodologies (e.g., GMP+, ISO 9001, etc.).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Lean or Six Sigma certification is a plus
