Tuna is very much appreciated for its meat-like texture and because it is a lean meat. The tuna products are processed by cooking, drying, and grinding into a meal that can be applied to pet food directly. As tuna meal is made from fresh skipjack tuna products, it contains a small amount of the long-chain omega-3 fatty acid DHA, which is known for contributing to health benefits for cats and dogs.
