Pork is an important part of the human diet in many European, American, and Asian countries. Although not often serving as a claim ingredient in pet food, it is used in numerous pet food formulations. Of the many different pork-based ingredients available to the pet food industry, IQI focuses on specialty pork-based ingredients for pet food. Programs for pig production pay special attention to animal welfare, which is becoming more and more important to consumers and pet parents alike.
IQI offers a range of dried pork products to the pet food industry. Our spray dried pork is a great example. Next to its excellent palatability, the product serves as a great protein source thanks to its high digestibility and protein content (>85%). It is low in ash and biogenic amines, comes as a light-colored powder and is highly soluble and shelf stable.
