Mark Oostendorp appointed as CEO of IQI Trusted Petfood Ingredients

As of February 8^th 2021, Mark Oostendorp (1969) has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of global market player IQI Trusted Petfood Ingredients, known for supplying specialty ingredients to the international pet food industry. In his new position, Oostendorp will manage the company’s offices in the Netherlands and the USA. His mission includes giving further shape to the company’s strategic choices and the continuous improvement of added value within the total supply chain. Oostendorp brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in the fields of food, agriculture and biotechnology, and previously worked in various senior management roles at Quest International (Unilever), DuPont and Interfood.

Challenging market with plenty of growth potential

With the appointment of Mark Oostendorp, IQI is further substantiating its ambitions and plans to expand the company’s strong position in Europe and North America, and to identify new, innovative product segments for the pet food industry.

Mark Oostendorp’s career highlights

In the early nineties, Oostendorp gained his MSc in Industrial Engineering & Management at the University of Twente. He started his career at Quest International, where he held various international leadership positions in the US, UK and Sweden. He went on to work at DuPont, where he managed global sales and business development teams worldwide as a Sales Director and SBU Director. In 2016, he transferred to Interfood where he worked until 2020 as Managing Director EMEA.

Per 8 februari 2021 is Mark Oostendorp (1969) aangesteld als Chief Executive Officer bij IQI Trusted Petfood Ingredients. De wereldwijde marktspeler staat bekend om zijn hoogwaardige ingrediënten voor de internationale pet food industrie. Oostendorp geeft in zijn nieuwe functie leiding aan de bedrijfsvestigingen in Nederland en Amerika. Hij zal onder meer de strategische ambities van IQI verder vormgeven waarin klant- en leverancierswaarde in de totale supply chain centraal staat. Oostendorp brengt meer dan 25 jaar leiderschapservaring mee op het gebied van food, agri- en biotechnologie, en werkte eerder in verschillende directierollen bij Quest International (Unilever), DuPont en Interfood.

Met de aanstelling van Oostendorp geeft IQI invulling aan de ambities en plannen om de sterke positie van het bedrijf in Europa en Noord-Amerika verder uit te breiden en nieuwe, innovatieve productsegmenten voor de pet food industrie te identificeren.

Achtergrond

Begin jaren negentig studeerde Oostendorp technische bedrijfskunde aan de Universiteit Twente. Daarna vervolgde hij zijn carrière bij Quest International (Unilever) waar hij verschillende internationale leidinggevende rollen vervulde in de VS, UK en Zweden. Daarna ging hij aan de slag bij DuPont Biotechnology waar hij onder meer wereldwijd teams aanstuurde als Sales en SBU Director. In 2016 stapte hij over naar Interfood waar hij tot 2020 werkte als Managing Director EMEA.
