It is with great pride that we announce that our Warehouse facility in Tracy, California, has obtained a Safe Quality Food (SQF) Level 2 certification for its ongoing effort to provide excellent storage services. We applaud this achievement by our colleagues in the US, especially since it means so much to our company. For one, this coveted designation helps us to remain ahead of our competition with respect to quality.
The strictest of rules
Safe Quality Food (SQF) is a benchmark. A recognized standard adopted by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), an industry-driven global collaboration to advance food safety worldwide. In order to qualify for SQF certification, you have to comply with the strictest of rules and regulations. With regard to warehousing this means that we have to make sure that ‘a food safety risk analysis of the product and its associated processes has been completed to identify the hazards and the action taken to eliminate, prevent or reduce their occurrence.’ Quite a mouthful, but we did it!
Our SQF certification is further confirmation of the fact that our focus on quality is paying off. We’re on the right path and we’re proud that our efforts are noticed. In fact, we are so proud that we wasted no time incorporating our newly received SQF accolade in our website.
